GeoURL 2.0 beta
http://geourl.org
Picked this up today while browsing through the blogs I watch. It does a location-URL reverse lookup with the help of the latitude and longitude coordinates we add in the meta tag of the page. Check out my web neighbors by clicking the image below :-)

Watching big!
Yeah...it's me in front of the display of my new Epson Powerlite S1+ LCD projector. It is certainly a different experience watching in a big screen. Now, let me go and watch a nice movie in the big screen before sleep :-)

International Women's Day - March 8th
March 8th 1908. 15,000 women workers from the garment and textile industry marched with the demands of shorter working hours, safe working conditions and equal pay after the death of 128 women trapped in a fire at the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory in New York City, and they won. In the second International Women's Conference in Copenhagen - 1910, March 8th was recognized as International Working Women's day. It is recognized in most parts of the world but not in United States. In 1945, again United States opposed to recognize March 8th as International Working Women's day in the United Nations organization. At last in 1975, United States agreed for International Women's day on March 8th.
March 8th 2005. Our friends Gomathi and Ramya wanted a treat on the occasion of International Women's day. And the treat is...we (the boys, myself, Sujit and Sankar) have to prepare a delicious dinner. Needless to say the boys succeeded in serving the girls a delicious dinner. It was an evening of fun
Cooking on wheels
As part of my skating training, I'm supposed to practice frequently to get the comfort of wearing large boots and to be able to balance on the wheels. Never did so, the only time I wore the skates were in the classes. Fortunately, today I ended up early at home and it was my turn at the kitchen today. I thought of practicing scissors (wherein your legs are almost one behind the other) on skates for a while before getting on to cooking.
It's fairly easy on the carpet to balance than on the rink. But still I need to work on my scissors. As time went by, I felt more comfortable on the wheels. So I thought, why not start cooking while on the wheels. It's a crazy thought believe me. On carpet is one thing, but the kitchen floor is smooth like the rink. Astonishingly, I was comfortable on the kitchen floor too...okay I had close objects to hold on ;-). I completed my cooking totally on the wheels. Not a great cook myself, it's actually very easy, talking about cooking here. I just put everything I can grab from the refrigerator on to the pan and let it heat up. Switch it off when the fire alarm goes off and you're done with a delicious side dish for your rice which was to be made in a rice cooker (not so challenging).
It did make some difference on the wheels, like nearly cutting my finger with the knife, which was really a close shave, and nearly dropping the pan. It was fun and a new experience. Hope I get better and lucky not to fall next time too.
